7th Annual Young Composers Festival —
January 25 – January 31, 2010

New Music. Electronics. Creativity. Choreography. New Sounds. Collaboration. Exchange. Community.

Welcome to the Seventh Annual Young Composers Festival, a week-long festival of new music by young composers and fun, challenging workshops for the whole family.

Dinosaur Annex Music Ensemble, Community Music Center of Boston, and New Gallery Concert Series are proud to present the annual Young Composers Festival, a week-long program of workshops, field trips, panel discussions and concerts by and for students from elementary school to college. Young musicians work alongside professional composers and performers to create, perform and enjoy contemporary music. Opportunities include collaborative workshops that integrate live music with electronics, visual arts, dance, and improvisation. This year’s Young Composers Festival (YCF) takes place from January 25-January 31, 2010 at locations throughout Boston and Cambridge.
